A cottage system employs a larger inverter feeding AC wiring. As cottages are used more often for longer periods, they need more ability to catch solar energy, a larger battery bank, and an inverter which can running larger appliances like power tools, stereos and water pumps.

Using an Outback FM60 charge controller along with the FX2545T inverter and a system Mate allows all parts of this renewable energy system to communicate with each other. Settings can be changed within the Mate to control both the charge controller or the inverter.
