A Small House system employs a larger inverter for the use of larger appliances or several appliances running at the same time.  The system has the ability to catch more solar energy, and a larger battery bank.

 Larger systems employing many batteries are often wired 48 volt DC this makes the system more efficient and can save on wire costs.  The system Mate will allow components to communicate together.
