There is much debate regarding the best Solar Hot Water Systems technology, Evacuated Glass Tubes VS Flat Plate Collectors.  The most important consideration is choosing a system with a proven track record, freeze protection and a CSA approval.  At Middle Earth Solar we sell and install only one type of system, Thermo-Dynamics.   These encased flat plate collectors are extremely durable with a proven 30 year track record.  One benefit of flat plate collectors is that their performance is not severely compromised should their casings leak.  A home owner with some plumbing skills can easily install one of these systems.  We are happy to help coach you along!
